Kindergarten

Thank you for   your recent inquiry into our Kindergarten program.  We are a small school, and offer a more intimate setting. This allows for  the student’s  grow and development, in a more relaxed environment. Please find enclosed  a package containing information about our center, as well as information about the Kindergarten Program. 

The Instructor for the Kindergarten Program has been at our center since May of 1993. She holds a  Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, and expanded education from birth to age 8 years. She is a favorite among the children.  Each of our staff members are trained in Infant, Child, Adult, Two-Man CPR, and First Aid. We are also directly connected to the Hoffman Estates Police and Fire Departments.

Following is a list of the supplies your child will need for the upcoming school year:

Back Pack (labeled with first and last name in a visible spot)
Extra set of clothing (labeled)

1. 5 No. 2 pencils with a pencil sharpener
2. 1 box of colored pencils
3. 2 (64 count)  Boxes of Crayons
4. 12 in.  ruler (wooden preferred)
5. 2  large boxes of tissues (non perfumed, non dyed if possible)
6. 2  erases (traditional)
7. 2  bottles of 4oz. “school glue” or several glue sticks
8. 2  packs of multi colored construction paper
9. 1 10oz  bottle of liquid soap
10. 2 boxes of washable markers no florescent
11. large bristled paint brush (ask teacher for sample)
12. 1 pair of safety scissors
13. 5  two pocket folders (red, yellow, blue, green, white)
14. 1 plastic school box- app. 8” long, 5” wide and 2 ½  deep. Please, the top should be flat.
15. Zip-lock bags, one box sandwich size, one box gallon size.
16. 3 spiral notebooks (120 sheet/3wide ruled)
17. 1  happy, eager, student, ready to learn !!!

Please note, we are not going to be picky about the brand or style, you may even have surplus supplies from an older student.  If you can not find an item, let us know right away.  Check with Ms. Ruthie for the latest sales on these items.

Your child should have all their items no later than September 10th.
